Graham Reed: Is going to represent GB in the Viking race 2008 in Slovakia after qualifying this weekend in wales......
Also, a reminder aswell that there is another F3F practice session on either the saturday or sunday coming up.
...now you can see why it is important to give Graham the practice required :-)
F3F Training Sessions:
it is intended to hold an f3f practice sessions, for those members currently interested in racing this summer , on either the 5th or 6th of APRIL, hopefully with the co-operation other of other SMSA members. A 100m course to be set up on the hill with a buzzer system and flags. The intention is to practice and to analyse each pilots flying techniques to gain a better overall flying potential for future races.
We would like to slot our practice sessions in at half hour intervals throughout the day. We will obviously respect peoples wishes and hope that general fliers will be happy to give this set up a try.
This is the first of a 3 month trial , granted by the committee, the weekends involved are :
5/6 APRIL, 3/4 MAY and 7/8 JUNE
Thank you

Last month on 17th Feb. an incident occurred where a SMSA member refused to show his details to the owner of the stables at Edgehill The person concerned further contravened site rules by not sending a report of the incident to the safety officer so we have no idea of the other side of the situation. Club members will shortly all receive an email with full details of this incident. In the meantime if you have any information regarding this issue then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
